Why do you think Tom was convicted guilty? Of the trial I meant?

He was admitted guilty after raping Mayella Ewell.

Tom was convicted in the trial because, despite overwhelming evidence to his innocence, the white jury refused to take a black man's word over a white man's word: even if the white man is Bob Ewell. The Jury knew that Tom was innocent, they just couldn't shake generations of prejudice that was ingrained into them.
