Who is bob and Mayella Ewell?

The Ewells are a family who live in poverty beside the city dump. Right away we can infer that Bob and Mayella are uneducated. Bob tries his best to get what attention he can by making ignorant remarks and taking charity from others. He is a drunk and refuses to keep a job. Mayella is his teenage daughter. She takes care of the children but is also plagued by poverty and hunger. It is implied that Bob Ewell rapes her.
