To Kill a Mockingbird

Who do you think was laughing? Why was he/she laughing? What inferences might you draw from the laughing?

At the end of chapter 4, Scout says that she had heard someone inside the house

I think Boo was laughing. This guy was isolated and never really had a childhood. He was not offended by the interest of the kids rather he shared in their enthusiasm and ineptness. WE see later how Boo attempts to reach out to Scout and Jem. If he were the least bit mean, the kids would have known about it.

i think it was Boo Radley also because he really didn't have much fun when he was Scout and Jem age so he just sits in the house and watches them play the Radley Game. So i think it was Boo Radley laughing from the window.

Okay at first I thought it was Caroline but it wasn't so I guess it was Boo.
