Bob Ewell actually sees everyone as his enemy. None-the-less, it was Atticus' questioning and part in the trial that humiliated Bob Ewell and caused all of the talk. Bob couldn't hold his head up, and in his eyes, it wasn't his own actions that caused his humiliation.... it was Atticus.
