Atticus is referring to the fact that nobody agrees on everything, and how often, friends and even family members have drastically different opinions and view on the same subject. If we decided not to be friends with everyone who didn't share all of our values and beliefs..... we wouldn't have any friends. Thus, I have to agree with Atticus.
