To Kill a Mockingbird

What is this event like from any characters point of view?

As you complete this assignment, you will need to use both creativity and critical thinking skills. Choose one scene from the novel—one specific event. Take the point of view of one of the other characters who were with Scout in this event. Describe the event and write about it from that character’s point of view.

In order to complete this assignment effectively, you will need to write in the voice of the character you have chosen. Is this character an adult or a child? Does this character speak with a dialect? What unique thoughts does this character have?

Your Response must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. It must be at least 500 words in length.
  2. Above your response, include a brief description of the event or conflict you are describing, the setting, and the characters involved.
  3. Include new dialogue (a conversation between two or more characters).
  4. Your response should “sound” like it fits with the story. It should include strong descriptions and use literary devices to draw your reader into your writing.
  5. Write your response in first-person point of view.
