To Kill a Mockingbird

What is the theme concerning the fire at Miss Maudie's?

Theme/Motif must be more than one word (i.e. sin and retribution, light versus dark, etc.)

I think the theme is a certain loss of innocence for Scout. She learns that bad things happen to good people:she is quickly learning that life isn't fair. At the same time, she learns, from Miss. Maudie, about having a positive attitude when things go wrong.
