Scout notes that Boo Radley was 'real nice" Once she walked him home. Atticus's final statement is "Most people are, Scout, when you finally see them." Atticus means that once you get to know most people, the fear and ignorance begins to disappear. Scout had walked for a few moments in Boo Radley's shoes and discovered that her pre-conceived views of Boo Radley had clouded her judgment for so long.
