To kill a mockingbird

I do not know the song but I can guess what the title is getting at. Although Atticus loses the trial, he knows that the town knows the truth about what happened. He is hoping that the truth might be planting the seeds of change in the American South. Bigotry and racism will remain strong for a very long time but the more enlightened characters will have to be patient for their world to change.
