To Kill a Mockingbird

This time of year was a very racial time for Harper Lee, the author who wrote her only Pulitzer Prize winning book, To Kill A Mockingbird. Was this type of year during the women's suffrage movement?

Women's suffrage began in the 1920's. This book was set in the 1930's. I don't think there was any direct correlation within the context of the book.
