This book is continually banned from the high school reading list because of racism and foul language. Do you believe this book should be banned?

I suppose that some may criticize this book on a very superficial level. To find fault with this book, however, would be to ignore American history. Dismissing this book, in my opinion, would also be dismissing empathy, courage, and one of the greatest pieces of contemporary American fiction ever written.
