Scout is involved in three altercations in the see chapters. Two are physical ,one is not. Describe each and explain their relationship to the larger context of the novel.

Scout fights with Walter Cunningham. The next fight she has is with Cecil Jacobs but that isn't until Ch 9. In both cases, Scout feels that she or her father has been insulted. Scout's reactions are a symbol that she fights for what she feels is right. She is like a much less refined version of Atticus. Scout has a conflict with Miss Caroline the teacher. She wants Scout to stop reading at home. Atticus tells Scout it is okay to read at home if she will go back to school.
