Question

as individuals and society as a whole how can we prevent incidents like what happened to Tom Robinson? What can we learn from this that presents the theme of social injustices (man vs. society)

I think society needs to re-evaluate our values. Empathy is something that all people have but few use. Equality is something most people agree with but do not always practice. Society must look at people first before ethnicity, sexual orientation or other differences. We are all joined together more than people realize.
