“People in their right minds never take pride in their talents?” Who says this? Do you agree? Why?

Miss Maudie is referring to the fact that people should be humble and not talk about their gifts...... she says this in reference to the children being unaware of their father's shooting capabilities. I agree with this. Being humble about one's accomplishments is more impressive than boasting.
