Mayella- she is a victim. She is forced by her father to say things in court. It is implied that her father not Tom had raped her. Scout thinks she is "the loneliest person in the world." Mayella must take care of a brood of kids while her father is drunk.    Bob Ewell- He is uneducated and proud of his ignorance. He is enjoying his "brief" moments of notoriety. He eggs on Atticus but only looks stupid.    Tom Robinson- He is an innocent mockingbird figure. Although physically strong, he is emotionally fragile.    Heck Tate- He is fair and appears not to harbor racial ill will.
