No, Miss. Maudie is mortified by this trial. She feels embarrassed for the people of Maycomb. She feels bad for Atticus who must work so hard amidst ignorance. Miss. Stephanie on the other hand loves the curiosity and novelty factor of the trial. She loves it as a spectacle to gossip about later.
