In chapter 15 what does mr.link deas mean when he says, " don't know why you teaches it in the first place..you've got everything to lose from this,Atticus. I mean everything"?

Mr. Link Deas warns Atticus that he has everything to lose from the trial, but Atticus says that he wants the truth to come out. Atticus knows that he has put himself in danger, and he is well aware of the danger to his family, but he's going to do the right thing regardless of the outcome. Mr. Deas thinks he's doing Atticus a favor by warning him that the trial may be his ruination.
