To Kill a Mockingbird

in chapter 13, Alexandra thinks scout is "dull" (not clever). Why does she think this, and is she right?

Scout doesn't know how to talk to her aunt, and Aunt Alexandra has no idea how to relate to Scout. It isn't a matter of dullness, but rather a lack of understanding.
