How does the relationship between Scout and Jem change over the first seven chapters?
How does Scout understand the changes Jem undergoes?
When we first meet Scout and Jem, they spend an inordinate amount of time together. Jem encouraged his sister to be daring..... not to act like a girs. Within the first seven chapters, we see their relationship change. Suddenly, he's telling her to act like a girl, and he spends more time with Dill, all while isolating her from actions he deemed unladylike.
