To Kill a Mockingbird

How does scout learn tolerance in tkam?

I need a quote to show that she learns tolerance after a mistake she made earlier in the book.

Thanks

Although it is Jem that primarily learns tolerance, Scout also learns it as well. The best example I can think of is Mrs. Dubose. Although this was primarily a lesson for Jem, people forget that Scout went with him to read to her. Scout takes to heart Atticus's lesson about Mrs. Dubose:

"...see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand."
