dill rarely sees his parents. He describes it as a good relationship that they do alot together however it is not he shipped to his aunt's each summer and feels negelected.

Dill's parents ignore him. Dill's mother has divorced (really a rare thing at the time) and Dill refers to his stepdad as his "new dad". Unfortunately his new dad and old mom pay very little attention to him. They buy him things but just leave him in his room to play. This is why Dill pretty much walks to Maycomb near the end of the novel.
