Calpurnia scolds Scout for embarrassing Walter during lunch. Walter pours syrup all over his food and Scout remarks on it. Calpurnia tells Scout that Walter is their guest and it is rude to humiliate a guest.

Calpurnia tells Scout it is rude to remark on a guests' behavior. Walter Cunningham is poor.

Calpurnia calls Scout into the kitchen discreetly and scolded Scout for asking Walter why he was pouring maple syrup on his lunch.
