Scout sees her father in a different light. After Scout belts Francis in the face, Atticus asks Uncle Jack to consider Scout's side of the story before getting mad at her. Scout is also impressed when Atticus shoots the rabid dog with one shot from far away. She thinks that her father isn't such a bookish old man after all.
