The children go to the jail and interact with the men who are there to take Tom Robinson, who Atticus is protecting. Scout and Jem aren't going to let anyone threaten their father, thus they approach the jail. Scout starts a dialogue with Mr. Cunningham, and all of a sudden things start to get personal, and the mob breaks up.
