How can a community seek justice and healing after an act of injustice or violence? -To kill a Mockingbird (Chapter 24-28)

This is a pretty detailed question for this short space. I think, in the case of Maycomb, the general white population must face the tuth about their own history and their own attitudes towards race and human rights. Unfortunately this is still lacking in many places in America.
