Example One: Jem tells Scout to lay off Alexandra and refrain from causing Atticus anymore stress. Scout responds that he needs to stop telling her what to do.

Example Two: Jem calls his father as soon as he realizes that Dill ran away from home. Scout sees this as snitching and betraying the pact they had between them.
