Discuss the atmosphere surrounding Tom Robinson's trial.

Scout notices that there is a circus or carnival atmosphere in front of the court house. This trial is a social attraction as much as it is about justice. I think the atmosphere becomes more tense and laden with guilt as everybody realized Tom is innocent. Unfortunately the white jury cannot see past their ingrained prejudice.
