Examples of specific obstacles would originate in segregation itself. The white and the blacks attend separate churches and do not mingle outside of work relationships. Neighborhood boundaries, the poor white residents, as opposed to all others do not cross boundaries in terms of socialization. Young children do mingle within the school system, but children from poor families often stop attending school, or simply don't go.
