When Mrs. Henry Lafayette dubose pushes Jem too far he loses his mind a bit destroying her flowers and breaking scouts Baton. what other rough thing  does he do in that moment? What message can we take from this part of the incident.

In addition to everything else, Jem pulled Scout's hair, kicked her, and knocked her on her face. He has obviously lost his senses....

Jem yanked my hair, said he didn’t care, he’d do it again if he got a chance, and if I didn’t shut up he’d pull every hair out of my head. I didn’t shut up and he kicked me. I lost my balance and fell on my face. Jem picked me up roughly but looked like he was sorry. There was nothing to say.
