Scout is not exactly a reliable narrator in this section, and her dislike of Aunt Alexandra shines through. The picture we get of Alexandra is that of a silly, old, conceited woman unable to see past her family pride into the real world. All Finches were perfect in her eyes....... and Scout wasn't having it.
