 Atticus is patient and fair. He relates to all kinds of people, his opinions can usually be trusted, and he is convinced of the importance of dealing fairly and reasonably with all people, no matter what the circumstances. Needless to say, he expects these same things to be embrace by his children, and as a father he models the expectations he teaches.
