After the trial, what profession does Dill say he wants when he grows up?
A clown. Because they are always happy.
Dill says that he believes he should be a clown,as he wants to entertain and make people laugh. It is an especially poingnant statement from a boy who does not experience much love from his family, and who has witnessed the cruel injustice of Tom Robinson's trial.
