After seeing the snowman that the children built, Atticus praise Jem in an unusual way by saying that he's "... perpetrated a near libel ...."

Jem's snowman looks an awful lot like Mr. Avery....... Atticus doesn't believe he should be making charactertures of the neighbors in the front yard. It might just het them upset!
