Stage One: Disorientation/ State of uncertainty

Stage Two: Exhaustion.

Stage Three: A deceptive feeling of warmth.

Stage Four: Thoughts of death and slumber.

Stage Five: Acceptance

Through London's description, the reader can relate to the man's condition and anticipate his death.
