To Build a Fire

Roughly how much of London's story is devoted to describing the setting? What particular details make it memorable?

London utilizes most of the text describing the story's setting. After all, the setting..... the natural and unpredictable state of the Yukon, is a character in itself. The man is in conflict with nature, as well as his own pride and inexperience.
