Why did aunt maria plan to go to her mother house?

uncle podger was a dim witted slow to react ,absent - minded sloppy shiddily handled the hanging of a picture.He made everyone run around the house with various thing that he wanted to order to hang a picture. The glass came out of the frame and then he cut himself with it ran around looking for hid hankerchief which was all time in his coat pocket that was lost (and he found sitting on it all the time).Finally,he got the whle family around him to look for the nail and the hammer that had fallen on the ground. Then,he lost the marking he had made.The chair fell at the critical moment as he leaned frward and slid on the piano.Aunt maria saw evrything and was very annoyed at the sloppines for er husband who made a mess while attempting to do his job.So,he'd let her know in time,so that she could make arrangement to go and spent a week with her mother while it was beig done.
