The following incident can also be refered to as the Jerome and the cheese incident. So basically J had to carry cheese for Tom, his friend. J takes the cheese in the railway compartment. As the cheese is a blue cheese it emits a fowl smell. when J entered the compartment people gave him way due to the stinking cheese. The railway compartment was crowded but J managed to squeeze in. Soon after people started sniffing, and some of them rose and went out. A stout lady said that it was disgraceful that a respectful married woman to be harried in such a way. another man said that the cheese put the thought of a dead baby in his mind. three of the passengers hurt themselves while trying to get out of the compartment. therefore the whole compartment was left to J and another black gentleman. when J gave the cheese to Tom his wife was terribly disgusted with the smell of cheese that she decided to leave the house and shift to a hotel. Also she was very angry with her husband. tom decided to throw the cheese out as the hotel bill would have exceeded the cost of the cheese. tom threw the cheese into the canal but took it out when the bargeman objected to the fowl smell. The coroner objected to Tom leaving it in the mortuary. he finally buried it on the beach and the beach acquired the reputation of being good for the weak- chested.

P.S: The answer is long.
