The main discussion between the men in the second chapter has to do with sleeping arrangements. George and J. want to camp... pull along the riverbend and construct a tent, thinking that being out in nature will afford them a true escape from the city. Harris, on the other hand, brings up rain.... Thus, they decide on camping out in good weather and staying in a hotel if it rains.
