Accomodation eluded the three freinds at Datchet. what lesson did they drew out of their unnccessary search for a place to suit their whims?

The men had so much trouble finding a hotel that suited their taste that they almost ended up without lodgings at all. In the end, they stayed in small, residential cottage, in which a young boy gave up his bed, while his mother fed them like kings. Afterward, it was noted;

 

We were not so uppish about what sort of hotel we would have, next time we went to Datchet.
