Things Fall Apart

Through Okonkwo you will witness life in an African village; social interactions, family structures, religion and medicine, and farming. How does this all change with the arrival of the Europeans?

The Europeans treat the Africans as people who are less intelligent and less worthy than the Europeans. They do not respect the African customs and treat the Africans as savages. They especially do not respect the African religions, considering it pagan; they thrust the Christian religion on these people who refuse to accept it. Such forcing causes the majority of the "drama" in the life of Okonkwo and his family.
