I'm not sure what you mean here. Do you mean stories that mother and father tell?

I think I see what you mean. Nwoye's stories are gentler full of wonder and learning while Okonkwo’s stories are violent and masculine in nature. Nwoye is a sensitive boy and his father's stories upset him but he must pretend to like them for fear of his father's wrath.
