Things Fall Apart is written from the point of view of a third person, omniscient narrator. The narrator's main focus is the character of Okonkwo but often changes perspective in order to enlight us about the thoughts and motives of the remaining supporting characters. The tone of the novel is tragic (I guess you could say sad); it is also filled with irony and satire.
