In Chapter Sixteen, Obierika comes to visit Okonkwo. Circumstances are less happy this visit, as white missionaries have come to Umuofia; they have built a church and even won converts. Obierika visits Okonkwo because in Umuofia he saw Nwoye among the Christians.
