Things Fall Apart

After the burning of the church what do you think the people in this novel could have done to solve their conflicts more successfully ?

It is difficult to impose our Western "problem solving" techniques on another culture. The Igbo react the way they know how to react. Certain characters saw the arrival of the white man and his church inevitable and permanent. I think realizing this might have been a good way to handle it. Still, it is difficult for us to judge the Igbo.
