how has janie's marriage to logan change since they were first married

Janie doesn't love Logan. He's a much older man whom she considers very ugly, but she marries him anyway and remains optimistic that they'll get along even if they never find love. When they're first married, Logan speaks in rhymes and riddle, possibly attempting the only affection he's capable of, being that he is in fact an emotionally detached man. His "poetry" if you will is false; it means nothing, and it isn't long before his idle attempts at "love talk" turn to a desire for complete obedience and dominance over his young wife.
