Describe the relationship between the narrator and her husband.

The narrator and her husband do not have the best of relationships. As a husband, the doctor is rather patronizing and seems to value out narrator as more of an accessory than an integral part of his life. Additionally, the narrator consistently feels entrapped and belittled by her husband's words and actions.
