As a reader, do you sympathize with this women's situation? Is the narrator's paranoia justified or just another aspect of her delusion?

I don't understand how anyone could not feel sympathy toward the narrator's situation. In my opinion, the narrator believes her paranoia is justifiable, you have to remember she is dealing with issues relating to a kind of mental breakdown. These issues are made all the worse by her husband's decision isolate her as a form of treatment. Unfortunately, he doesn't see that his methods are hurting.... not helping.
