The Yellow Wallpaper

"... and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother". This passage alludes to the bible, what is the narrator saying about the wallpaper through this quote?

This question has been giving me a hard time and I've benn rereading the story but thsi question has been hard to answer

The narrator feels caged in a prison just like the narrator caged in the wallpaper. The friend of the narrator in the wallpaper is actually the narrator herself.
