which incident do you consider to be a turning point in the story ? why ?

I would say the turning point in the story is when a Jewish boy is harassed by the Wave and Laurie Laurie as editor-in-chief of The Grapevine publishes an issue exposing the troubles caused by the organization ... Larie sees that Mr. Ross'a social experiment has become what he wanted the kids to avoid.
