Over the course of the experiment, Mr. Ross becomes just as involved in the process as his students. He, himself, changes, as a result of his position..... the Wave's leader. When these things are pointed out to him directly by the administration, his wife, and his students.... he realizes the experiements impact on everyone, and thus, he ends the experiment.
